Comfort and Joy beyond Christmas with Teddy Bears by Teddy T. and Spaulding T. Bear

(Contd. from page 4...)

Teddy Bears often give as much as they receive.

Bear Claus, a little Teddy Bear dressed in Santa cap and jammies, came into Steve Way's life, right when he, and his wife Linda, needed her the most. Because of several operations to remove brain tumors when he was young, Steve was susceptible to strokes early. He had the first one when he was 30, leaving him very much like a child. He was given Bear Claus as an unexpected, but yearned for, Christmas present. He and Bear Claus were never separated through the few short years that he continued to have more strokes, until his death. Now Bear Claus remains an important part of Linda's life, reminding her of Steve and the magic of Christmas all year long. They share their comfort on her Beary Christmas site.

Two well loved teddies, Tequila Teddy and J.D., have become such an important part of Rosemary Basil's life that they have their own message board online. They write back and forth to a variety of other Teddy Bears and Teddy Bear lovers. When Hurricane Katrina flooded out their home, Rosemary and her husband could only grab a few cherished treasures, including the two teddies. The rest of their hug (the term used for a family of Teddy Bears) was lost in the flood. For now, they live near Los Angeles, inspiring Rosemary to create new beaded, Bohemian-themed jewelry, which merges her love for her bears with her love for gardening. They sell their jewelry on E-bay in hopes of going home again someday. Bead Gumbo Beadtique
