Comfort and Joy beyond Christmas with Teddy Bears
by Teddy T. and Spaulding T. Bear
(Contd. from page 2...)
There are many collecting new, unwrapped bears by various means:
Placing bins, carts, and Christmas trees in frequented places like grocery stores, malls, and banks.
Contacting Teddy Bear stores to arrange Bear-making parties. - Forming convoys of Bikers heading to their favorite charities.
Bringing Teddy Bears to events, like church services, Christmas fairs, and Holiday Programs.
Staging events to collect bears, or money for bears, like Dance-a-thons, Bowl-a-thons, Teddy Bear Concerts, and the one that proves bears will do anything to help others - bear tosses, where bears are brought, and then tossed onto the ice at hockey games, just to be given to charities.
If interested, find out if your community is holding a toy drive, or start one of your own. Just find a local business manager, who receives plenty of repeat business, willing to let you place a collection box in his or her business. On the large box, explain, briefly, what you're collecting, who will receive them, and when the last day for donating will be. To receive more publicity, call your newspaper, TV and radio station to ask them to advertise it. Charities are often given public service announcements.
