Dealing With Sensitive Teeth by Joseph Devine

(Contd. from page 1...)

How can I treat my sensitive teeth?

Good brushing and flossing habits are a great place to start. Protecting your gums means that they can, in turn, protect the sensitive roots of your teeth. Proper oral cleaning also helps prevent cavities and tooth decay, both of which will weaken the enamel protecting your tooth. If your teeth are still sensitive, consult your dentist for advice. For example, he or she may recommend a special type of toothpaste designed to dull any sensation passing into your tooth, or apply fluoride solution to strengthen your tooth enamel. Your dentist will be able to diagnose the cause of your sensitive teeth and find a solution that is right for you.

If you need answers or solutions for your oral health questions, a dentist is the best person to ask.
